OCU women topple Texas-Brownsville 5-0

Sarah Leonard posted a goal and an assist.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University women's soccer team toppled Texas-Brownsville 5-0 on Friday afternoon on Stars Field.

Caroline Dixon, a freshman from Manchester, England, and Malin Andersson, a sophomore from Huskvarna, Sweden, led the Stars with two goals each.

Sarah Leonard, a junior from West Yorkshire, England, also had a goal in the match. Leonard was assisted by Zoe Barratt, a senior from West Yorkshire, England.

Erika Garbrecht, a senior from Yukon, Okla., assisted Andersson on her first goal.  Leonard assisted Andersson on the fifth goal of the match.

Dixon scored the first goal of the contest unassisted. Dixon scored her second goal and OCU's fourth of the match was scored off a penalty kick.

OCU improved to a 5-3-1 record and will face Mid-America Christian on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Stars Field.
